6/27/13: Home Depot Helps Make a Veteran’s Life a Little Easier!

Jordan Sisco, 23 year old Army sergeant will be returning home to Corona, CA after a year of intensive physical therapy at Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Sisco is recovering from losing both legs, his left thumb, damages to his pelvis and colon from an improvised explosive device while on foot patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

To assist Sisco in his recovery and allow him more independence, Home Depot partnered with Habitat for Humanity Riverside to transform Sisco’s home and make it more ADA assessable. Home Depot funded and provided over 50 volunteers for this project to replace the carpet with laminated flooring, created a new bedroom, and remodeled the bathroom.

Thank you Home Depot for partnering with Habitat for Humanity Riverside and giving back to the veteran community. We thank Sisco for his service and wish him the best in his recovery.
