Hot day, hot group! What a HUGE difference we made yesterday at Countrywood Estates in Corona. Thanks to a small but mighty group of volunteers from Kaiser Corona and Kaiser Fontana together with a few loyal Helping Hands regulars we completely painted the exterior of unit #26. The homeowner, Jesus Hernandez helped us get set up before leaving for work. The group also did a bit of exterior repair work to the siding and trim and replaced several vent covers that were broken and ineffective. This was a very large unit with some interesting challenges, including some unfriendly Sago Palms in the front yard! The banter and friendly competition between the volunteers kept everyone’s mind off the heat and scope of work and new friendships were born.
